Fandom events... with a lusty twist
The mutant brainchild of Los Angeles and Denver based burlesque performers and fangirls, Spy Kitten and Mae Lust, Lusty Kitten Productions was founded to create unique fan events catering to beloved pop culture. Lusty Kitten events are designed to celebrate geeks & encourage a sense of camaraderie in the fandom community. Each event is an opportunity for fans to come together in celebration of a fandom that has undoubtedly touched their lives in a profound way. We are a body positive, sex positive, gender positive and queer positive organization dedicated to intersectional inclusivity; we aim to give artists an avenue to amplify their voices and share their talents with the community.
Founded in 2008, by Chris Beyond and Scarlett Letter, Peepshow Menagerie started as a revue style burlesque show based on the format made popular in the 1950's (Girls, Girls, Girls, and a comic). With extensive mining of local talent and a love for the art form, It quickly developed into a new format containing light plot lines, amazing burlesque and stunning variety. Peepshow still relies upon the amazing talents of The Southern California burlesque and variety community and also welcomes traveling performers. Reflecting the interests of its performers and audience, each show is a cavalcade of fan art and topical tributes and insanity. Topics approached have been as varied as Doctor Who, Disney, Morrissey and David Lynch. Peepshow Menagerie was included in the best of LA Nightlife section of LA Weekly's "Best of L.A." issue of 2013.
